£22–25k with overtime usually available. Basic DBS only, and many roles skip the check entirely.

Basic check only

Month 3–6: forklift ticket

Most big sites train you on the job for free. FLT drivers earn £2–4k more and are always in demand.

Year 2+: team leader, or wheels

Shift lead roles £28–32k — or use the sector as a springboard into driving.
